Frequently asked questions
What kind of position is this?
This is a part-time position. We'll go over the specifics — schedule, hours, and how things work — with you during hiring.
How does pay work, and what's the range?
$33–$40 per hour depending on your experience, paid weekly.
Do I have to deal with billing and admin?
We handle client billing and most of the administration — invoicing, referrals, and the back office — so you can focus on delivering therapy. A few small, in-the-moment pieces, such as booking a client's next session while they're with you, are naturally part of clinical care.
What caseload and ages will I work with?
Mainly speech, language, and literacy for children ages 1–18, working under SLP direction (and OT direction for OT goals).
Where is the clinic, and where are clients seen?
Our clinic is in St. Albert and we serve the greater Edmonton area. Most clients are seen at the clinic; some are seen at daycares or schools, with travel kept to a minimum.
Can I work part-time or flexible hours?
Yes. This is a part-time role, roughly 8–25 hours a week. Many start with afternoons/evenings and weekends, and we'll shape a schedule that fits.
What qualifications do I need?
A diploma from an accredited Therapy Assistant or SLP-A program (similar education and experience may be considered), plus at least 3 years of SLPA experience and a clean Vulnerable Sector Check.
Will I be supervised and supported?
Yes. You'll work under the direction of our Speech-Language Pathologists — and our Occupational Therapists for OT goals — with structured supervision from our clinicians. They work with you to succeed with your caseload and grow as a therapist.
