This is an assessment-focused role: you concentrate on what you do best — psychoeducational and autism (ASD) assessments — while our team handles scheduling, intake, billing, and FSCD coordination so you can focus on clinical work and reporting.

The work

What you'll do

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments for children and teens (occasionally adults) — cognitive ability, academic achievement, and behavioural/emotional functioning to identify learning disabilities, ADHD, giftedness, anxiety, and related concerns (WPPSI-IV / WISC-V / WAIS-IV, WIAT-III, BASC-3)
  • Conduct autism (ASD) assessments, integrating developmental history, parent interviews, behavioural measures, and standardized observation (ADOS-2) within a multidisciplinary process
  • Select appropriate tools based on the referral question, age, and presentation
  • Communicate diagnoses within your scope of practice
  • Write clear, useful reports translating test data into recommendations
  • Uphold the standards of the College of Alberta Psychologists and our clinic
  • Participate in team trainings and meetings

Who we're looking for

The right fit

Must-haves

  • Registered Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) — provisional psychologists under appropriate supervision considered
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited program
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational and/or autism assessments, with familiarity across the relevant batteries (e.g., WISC-V, WIAT-III, BASC-3)
  • Strong report-writing skills
  • Ability to work independently

Nice-to-haves (not required)

  • ADOS-2 training or certification
  • Experience with pre-school and school-aged populations
