Ruby Therapy Services is hiring a Registered Psychologist for our assessment team, on a contract basis, in St. Albert and the greater Edmonton area. This is an assessment-focused role: you concentrate on what you do best — psychoeducational and autism (ASD) assessments — while our team handles scheduling, intake, billing, and FSCD coordination so you can focus on clinical work and reporting.

Under one roof we have speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, counsellors, psychologists, and a dietitian — so you can bring in a colleague from another discipline when a client needs it. Our care is neurodiversity-affirming, family-centred, and evidence-informed, and we’re an approved FSCD vendor. Our clinic is at 7 St Anne Street #104, St. Albert.

The work
What you'll do
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments for children and teens (occasionally adults) — cognitive ability, academic achievement, and behavioural/emotional functioning to identify learning disabilities, ADHD, giftedness, anxiety, and related concerns (WPPSI-IV / WISC-V / WAIS-IV, WIAT-III, BASC-3)
- Conduct autism (ASD) assessments, integrating developmental history, parent interviews, behavioural measures, and standardized observation (ADOS-2) within a multidisciplinary process
- Select appropriate tools based on the referral question, age, and presentation
- Communicate diagnoses within your scope of practice
- Write clear, useful reports translating test data into recommendations
- Uphold the standards of the College of Alberta Psychologists and our clinic
- Participate in team trainings and meetings

Who we're looking for
The right fit
Must-haves
- Registered Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) — provisional psychologists under appropriate supervision considered
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited program
- Experience conducting psychoeducational and/or autism assessments, with familiarity across the relevant batteries (e.g., WISC-V, WIAT-III, BASC-3)
- Strong report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently
Nice-to-haves (not required)
- ADOS-2 training or certification
- Experience with pre-school and school-aged populations

Is this an employee or contractor position?
It's a contract (self-employed), assessment-focused role. You invoice for your hours, and we handle client billing and administration on the back end. You concentrate on psychoeducational and autism assessments and reporting.

Pay is $117–$164 per hour depending on experience, paid weekly.
